OUR PLEDGE
The core element of the Queers X Climate initiative is our pledge. A commitment of our members to calculate and significantly reduce their yearly carbon footprint by 2030.

According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) 2018 Especial Report on the 1.5ºC, humanity needs to urgently reduce its greenhouse gasses emissions by at least 45% and limit the increase in the world's global average temperature by 1.5ºC by 2030. Otherwise, climate change will intensify and become irreversible.

Based on the best available science, we invite any interested person to follow these six steps (six, like our flag!):

How do we help?
As for the Queers X Climate responsibilities, it will support the pledges of its members by facilitating the means of implementation. This includes, among other things, share relevant information on climate action and accounting, support the advancement of climate-related science, promote sustainable businesses, identifying potential projects, and encourage the use of sustainable technology and supportive digital platform. Likewise, the initiative will also keep a record of the activities implemented and overall progress by its members through its digital platform
